Aldrin, a member of the indigenous group Subanen settled in the hinterlands of Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines, inspects the halad (offerings) in the grounds where the elders held the gampang, a traditional yearend ritual to ward off bad spirits and welcome good tidings.
